We follow the BCACC recommended fee schedule. We charge between $165-$175 dollars per 50 minute session, depending on the service. We also offer sliding scale fees under certain circumstances.
-
The short answer is: it depends. We always encourage clients to check with their insurance provider to check their coverage. Since we are licensed with the BCACC, many clients are able to submit claims for our services. Just don't forget to check your coverage limits!
-
In general, our counselling sessions last 50 minutes. For the first session, we like to get to know you better to understand what your current needs are.
When completing an EMDR session, we typically structure sessions to be 50-80 minutes.
-
This is dependent on your current therapeutic needs and goals. Typically, 6-10 sessions for a singular need is standard; however, in complex cases more therapy is required. We set therapeutic goals with our clients in the first session and continually reassess throughout the therapeutic process.
-
We suggest for the first 4-6 sessions, that clients book weekly appointments to stay on track with goals so therapeutic material is still fresh. After the first 4-6 sessions, booking bi-weekly or monthly is normal. We will always communicate to make sure you have a plan that works for you.

Medication can be an important tool to manage mental health issues; however, clinical research indicates that the combination of evidence-based talk therapy and medication has the greatest efficacy in most cases of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Regardless, we always ask our clients to book an appointment with their doctor to explore the viability of medication and differential diagnoses. Your overall health is important!
-
Yes, of course! We understand the stress that comes with responsibilities and commitments during weekdays and the difficulty to squeeze in health appointments. We structure our schedule to have evening and weekend appointments to make things easier!
